About
Daniel Hickton
I am an attorney with a unique blend of experience in criminal defense, civil litigation, and technology law. I started my legal career as a complex mass torts staff attorney at Motley Rice where I worked on the plaintiff’s side on the National Prescription Opiate Litigation MDL and gained invaluable experience in public interest litigation. As a former Assistant District Attorney in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh, PA), I honed my skills in the courtroom, prosecuting a wide variety of cases and building a foundation of trial expertise. My trial experience also extends to personal injury and civil litigation.
In addition to my litigation work, I have a strong background advising innovative companies at the intersection of technology and law. I served as an advisor to Four Growers Robotics, the creators of the world’s most intelligent tomato-harvesting robot, helping them become the first students from the University of Pittsburgh to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious Rice Business Plan Competition. Since then, they have raised millions in funding, cementing their place as a leader in agricultural robotics.
